This paper is instructed by sedimentary petrology, petroleum geology, stratigraphy, reservoir geology, tectonic geology and geochemistry theory and the latest relevant research progress, chooses the drilling and logging data as research object, uses the multidisciplinary integrated analysis method, including the microcosmic and macroscopic, qualitative and quantitative, combing with regional geological data and former research achievements, analyses the Fuyu oil reservoir of the dragon west region in Songliao Basin, including stratigraphy, types and characteristics of sedimentary facies, reservoir characteristics and its main influencing factors, especially for the types and characteristics of sedimentary facies and reservoir characteristics, at the same time analyses the geological factors of favorable reservoir.The research of sedimentary facies shows that the most area of dragon west region is in the delta of the sedimentary environment during the sedimentary period of Fuyu oil layer, among them, the study area during the FⅢ period was the delta plain mostly, and the delta front existed in the southeast area. To the FⅡ period, the sedimentary framework changed very little, the range of water slightly back to the southeast. At the same time, distributary channel developed and river bifurcation intersection in network. To the Fl period, water from the southeastern slow invasion, coverage increases gradually, the west of the shoreline distributed the delta plain, the other was delta front, the sedimentary microfacies type were mainly composed by underwater distributary channel, split bay, debouch bar, state of sand table, and the each period underwater distributary channel, debouch bar, state of sand table are beneficial to reservoir formation and evolution of sedimentary facies.Reservoir diagenesis type in Fuyu oil reservoir of the dragon west region mainly contained compaction, cementation and dissolition, and the main reason that made the reservoir proporty became poor are compaction and cementation, the dissolition is favorable for the reservoir development. The main Fuyu layer reservoir rocks are fine sandstone, siltstone, sorting characteristics is of medium to poor, and compositional maturity is poor. The main reservoir spaces are the intergranular pore and dissolution pores. The bad pore structure and small pore throat radius made the poor reservoir connectivity. This reservoir belongs to the low porosity and low permeability reservoir, and the reservoir has a heterogeneous characteristics. But in the area of sandbody development of great thickness in the favorable sedimentary facies belt added the later construction of rock effect, partial area still is development of reservoir, reservoir in North West-South East direction distribution. It sums up the basic characteristics of tectonic, sedimentary and source rock, reservoir and cap of the dragon west region, elected two favorable exploration target area.
