The theory and algorithms for Computational Electromagnetics(EM) Research objective is to use it to solve the complex EM problems in practice. In the areas of radar target recognition, radar stealth and anti-stealth, complex antenna design, as well as EM compatibility with electronic countermeasures and other fields, we often need to simulate the EM target which is complex medium. The EM numerical simulation technology has become an important tool for analyzing the EM scattering characteristic of target, which has taken the place of actual measurement. With these complex medium target scattering analysis for backgrounds, This paper study the complex medium EM scattering characteristics of metal target, through the electromagnetic field numerical simulation. The Method of Moment(MoM) as the calculation of electromagnetic simulation in a high precision method, has been widely used. This paper research some complex medium by VSIE, is also based on the moment method. The conclusion can be used to analyze complex medium metal hybrid electromagnetic scattering characteristic of targets.Firstly, based on the basic principle of MoM, We analysis the basic principle and formula derivation of the traditional VSIE. Then, by using the Maxwell’s equations, we derived the complex medium VSIE to calculate dielectric metal mixed target radar scattering cross section. Results display, according to the derived formula prepared by the procedures, for the general media, the anisotropic medium, the bi-isotropic medium, we can be obtained correctly target scattering characteristic.Secondly, By using the Current continuity equation, We can use metal current instead of volume current in medium metal junction, to reduce the unknowns of problem. According to the closed metal conductor introducing magnetic field integral equation can effectively change the principle of state matrix, We introduce MFIE to VSIE, formation the new VSIE, Which is used to calculate the closed metal coated dielectric object. Through some numerical results can be seen that introducing MFIE to VSIE is greatly improve condition number of matrix and accelerated solution of the program.
