Karl Popper, is one of the famous contemporary philosophers of science, who is also highlycontroversial. The reason why his philosophy has been in hotspot location all the time, on theone hand,his ideology is a huge system of thought, his philosophy covers the philosophy ofscience, political philosophy, ethics, epistemology, philosophy of history.And on the other hand,his critical spirit makes later philosophy workers filled with wonder, he is not only the firstphilosopher who overturned the induction that occupied an important position in the history ofphilosophy, and criticize series of great-thinkers, but also argued with the other philosophyfactions of the same time,such as the logical positivism,and proposed the falsificationism systemwith unique personal characteristicsThroughout the research of Karl Popper’s philosophy, they all focused on some particularareas of Popper’s theory.Therefore,this article tries to probe his philosophy from a specialperspective that Error is an important concept in his philosophy.If we read philosophy bookswritten by Karl Popper,we can find that Popper never put forward a system theory of errors,buthe really pay attention on them.So we should be in-depth study in them.This article is divided into five parts.The first aspect is the introduction that presents theresearch of Karl Popper’s philosophy at home and aboard and tries to lead to the importance andnecessary of researching Popper’s error theory.The second aspect is introducing the backgroundof Popper’s theory about errors,including the theories from the ancient philosophy to the modernphilosophy,from the science to the philosophy.The third aspect is the main part of Karl Popper’stheory which is connected with the concept of errors,and this part is very important that Popper’serror theoris are inclued here. What’s more,this part includs the method of eliminatingerrors.Popper put on emphasis on error,and he put foward the method of eliminating errors.Theforth aspect is the important meaning and influence of Karl Popper’s theory abouterrors,especially the influence on Lakatos who is Popper’s student and another importantphilosopher of science.What’s more, Popper’s theory is not always absolutely right,and there arealso many defects and the insufficiency, and this is one part of the content needed to be clarify.The fifth part is the ending.
