Pyrimidone and pyrazoline compounds perform an activity property on biology,for example they can be used as pharmaceutical and pesticide. They also havefluorescent properties, used as fluorescent whitening agent, fluorescent probe etc.Thus, it’s very significant to study on the properties of pyrimidone and pyrazolinecompounds.Herein, the pyrimidone and pyrazoline derivates were synthesized from chalconeand urea. The fluorescent properties of pyrazoline derivants were investigated inpresence or be obsence of Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Pb2+, Ni2+, Ag+.1,15pyrimidone and17pyrazoline compounds were synthesized andcharacterized by melting point, IR spectra, UV-Vis spectra,1H-NMR and13C-NMRspectra.2, The Claisen-Schmidt condensation of acetophenone and benzaldehyde wasoptimized. The optimal reaction condition was nketone: naldehyde: nKOH=1:1.1:2.5, inwhich the concerntration of KOH was20%. The relationship between substituentsand yields of chalcone was discussed; the electron donor substituents could cause arecrease of yield.3, The optimal reaction condition of the reactiong of chalcone and urea isnchalcone:nurea=1:1, in which the amout of MeSO3H is0.25mL.4,5-arylidene-2-(5-aryl-3-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-1,3-thiazol-4-(5H)-ones were synthesized and the optimal reaction condition to prepare them isnpyrazoline:nClCH2COOH:naldehyde=1:1.2:1.2, in which ncatalyst:npyrazoline=1:15, The emission spectra of compound IV1, IV2, IV3, IV4, IV5, IV6, IV7, IV8,IV9, IV10, IV11, IV112were collected. The peak of IV4, IV7, IV8was around488nm, and The peak of IV1, IV2, IV6, IV8, IV10was around447nm. Thefluorescence quantum yields were detemined using quinoline sulfate as standard,which of all compounds is about o.1. The compounds IV1, IV2, IV6, IV8and IV10should be used as fluorescent whitening agent, because they have similar fluorescenceparameters with the fluorescent whitening agent. 6, The fluorescent properties of pyrazoline derivants were investigated inpresence or obsenceof Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Pb2+, Ni2+, Ag+. The results show that theycould not be used as a fluorescence probe for Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Pb2+, Ni2+, Ag+.
