The strong interest of TTF (Tetrathiafulvalene) and TTF-type compounds started with the first discovery of important applications of TTF in organic conductive materials in the1970s, led to the great achievements of TTF-type donors, covering the superconductor, the OFET (Organic Field Effect Transistor), and so on.The main goal of this thesis is the new TTF-type donors, containing their syntheses, structures and electronic properties. With the number of sulfur atoms within the TTFs molecule augmenting, the intermolecular reactions of S...S increase. At the same time, as the conjugated system of the TTFs molecule improved, the intermolecular π-π stacking has become strong. These factors make the solubility of the resultant compounds plummet, so the synthesis and purification become more difficult. In this dissertation, the synthesis of a closed-loop TTF-type molecular conductor is detailed, and the study, four different TTF derivatives’electronic properties, is also described. In addition, the intramolecular charge transfer of triindole and its series, which is observed by electrochemistry and absorption spectra, is introduced.1The synthesis and characterization of TTF-type molecular conductors. The unsymmetrical molecular conductor TDTO-TTP (5-(thieno[3,4-d][1,3]dithiol-2-ylidene)-[1,3]dithiolo[4,5-d][1,3]dithiol-2-one) with7sulfur atoms has been synthesized, and characterized by the MS and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal accumulation of TDTO-TTP is in the same with well-known field-effect transistors DT-TTF. And TDTO-TTP’s theoretical calculation is show that the field-effect mobility is0.1743cm2V-1S-1. 2. The Strong conjugation in the triindole and its series has been observed by the CV and the DPV (Differential Pulse Voltammetry). And it is inferred from the results of electrochemistry and UV-Vis spectra that there are different ways of electron transfer in the2,7,12-trisubstituted triindole and3,8,13-trisubstituted. Moreover, to verify this inferrer, we do the redox titration of triindole’s series and characterized by UV-Vis spectra.
