In the present work, the clathrate of cyclodextrin derivatives and L-phenylalanine was firstly synthesized. Then molecularly imprinted polymer weresuccessfully synthesized by bulk polymerization and surface imprinting techniquerespectively using the L-phenylalanine as template molecule and cyclodextrinderivatives as functional monomer. The surface feature, adsorption capacity, adsorption mechanism of polymer was systematically investigated and analysized.1. L-phenylalanine was taken as template molecule to prepare the clathrate ofcyclodextrin derivatives and L–phenylalanine. The clathrate was characterized byultraviolet spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy and thermal analysis. The resultsshow that the inclusion of L-phenylalanine and acylated cyclodextrin is successful, the best inclusion ratio is1:1,and the thermal stability strengthened via thermalanalysis.2. On the basis of clathrate, L-phenylalanine molecularly imprinted polymerwas prepared under UV light. At this process we take L-phenylalanine as templatemolecule, cyclodextrin derivatives as functional monomer, acrylamide as auxiliaryfunctional monomer, added cross-linking agent (two ethylene glycol methacrylate)and composite light (initiatorIsopropyl thioxanthone and4-(two methyl amino)ethyl benzoate). Infrared spectrum polymer characterization shows that use clathrateof molecularly imprinted polymer will elute target molecules which can be adsorbedsuccess again, the maximum adsorption capacity is179.3mol/g. The adsorptioncapacity is more than without the inclusion of the imprinted polymer22.5%.Compared with non imprinted polymer, the clathrate of molecularly imprintedpolymer has better selectivity and adsorbability.3. Similarly to the preparation of clathrate, L-phenylalanine molecularlyimprinted polymers was prepared. Introducing light iniferter grafted onto silica gelsurface, with which as a carrier and an initiator to prepare L-phenylalanine surfacemolecularly imprinted polymers. The polymer were characterized by infrared spectrum, the particle size and morphology of the polymer and graft silicone werecharacterized by scanning electron microscopy. Through UV spectrophotometrymethod,we found the maximum adsorption capacity of the polymer is188.7mol/g.Using thin-layer chromatographic separate DL-phenylalanine, the result revealedthat the resolution of the polymer is1.44. At the same time we prepared unusedoptical iniferter grafted silica gel free radical grafting polymer, through analyze theseveral performances found the polymer of use optical iniferter grafted silica gel freeradical grafting polymer on the adsorption capacity and the separation more better.
