A resolution method of novel chiral ligand5,5’-biquinoline-6,6’-diol (BIQOL)was a big problem in the past. In this study, we improve the resolution method. firstracemic BIQOL react with split reagent D-(+)-camphor sulfonyl chloride to generate apair of diastereomers. In according with different polarity of the diastereomers, first ofseparated by column chromatography to get the R isomer and S isomer content ofdifferent products, and with the selective crystallization and recrystallization, the eevalue of more than99%isomer. Thus we indirectly split the chiral ligand BIQOL.Traditional Friedel-Crafts reactions are generally halogenated hydrocarbons,olefins in Lewis acid AlCl3, or proton acid under the formation of the carbenium ionintermediates attack the electron-rich aromatic ring, the production of aromatics oraromatic ketones, Friedel-Crafts reaction is usuallystrong Lewis acid as a catalyst.During the catalytic asymmetric Friedel-Crafts reaction, after the introduction ofchiral ligands on the Lewis acid catalyst, it may make acid to reduce the loss ofcatalytic activity. Therefore, the asymmetric Friedel-Crafts reaction concerned.Building a strong Lewis acidity and catalytic activity of the catalyst has become achallenging subject. Indole compounds widely found in nature, with a certain degreeof physiological activity. Therefore, scientists have studied and developed a series ofnovel chiral Lewis acid catalyst, the indole Friedel-Crafts reaction, the synthesis ofoptically active indole intermediates.Novel chiral ligands BIQOL application in the indole and chalcone asymmetricFriedel-Crafts alkylation reaction and obtained good results; and discuss factors suchas temperature and solvent on the reaction yield and mappingbody over the impact ofquantum.The small organic molecule catalyzed asymmetric synthesis reaction is a rapiddevelopment of organic frontier. Chiral phosphoric acid catalyst has been successfulas a new class of chiral Br nsted acid catalyst catalyst Mannach reaction, Friedel-Crafts reaction of many important organic reactions. The catalytic asymmetricreactions of small organic molecules has become one of the most active areas ofdomestic and foreign research.We used chiral BIQOL derivative to get chiral BIQOL phosphoric acid, andapplies it to the catalytic asymmetric reaction of the imine compounds with carbonylcompounds. Of the catalytic performance of BIQOL phosphoric acid. we foundBIQOL phosphoric acid was too high due to the polarity and solubility in organicsolvents is poor adverse reactions.
