The wetting theory of solid surface is summarized, in the meantime the recent development and preparation method of superhydrophobic surface are reviewed, with particular focus on therecent years, the projection of applying superhydrophobic technique to stainless steel mesh of expandable tube is proposed, based on the development and using trend of superhydrophobic surface at home and abroad. The expandable tube technique is effectively mechanical sand control technology, in the process of sandstone reservoir exploitation. The preparation of coating with superhydrophobic/superoleophilic property on316L stainless steel mesh, thus making it can separate between water and oil,with important theoretical and practical significance. For this reason, this article make three researchs:(1) The collosol is prepared with sol-gel method. The result show that:There is chemical reaction between alkoxy group of surface modifier and silicon dioxide particle surface, a mass of methyl was grafted skeleton of silicon dioxide collosol, because of the modifying of methyl triethoxysilane. The modified collosol have satisfactory thermal stabilities, which meet the neeed of borehole operation.(2) Coarse structure surface likeness connected to each other "peak" is structureed on the stainless steel mesh by chemical etching method, meanwhile the influence of experiment condition on surface wettability is researched. The result show that:the preferred etching time5min、ferric trichloride12g、phosphoric acid3ml、hydrochloric acid3ml、aquae hydrogenii dioxidi3ml, which is conducive to the preparation of superhydrophobic surface.(3) The surface is prepared on the stainless steel mesh by dip-coating techniques, the water contact angle is152°, and the oil contact angle is0°, and wettability is analysed by Cassie theory. The result show that:There are a goog deal of methyl groups on the coarse surface structure which is likeness lotus leaf microcosmic surface. The stainless steel mesh surface has good superhydrophobic/superoleophilic property,because of the coexist of methyl group and coarse structure; the proportion that the part of water mattress on the stainless steel mesh is83%, this strcture can catch a mass of air, which is very important for superhydrophobic/superoleophilic property of surface; the surface has good time stability, non-adhesion and corrosion-resistance.
