Steelmaking Aod Furnace Process Computer System Design And Implementation

In Recent years, the domestic iron and steel smelting industry is depressed under the influence of the global financial crisis. With addition of the over capacity of the whole industry and the falling iron price, the iron industry has faced up with its most difficult situation ever. To break the predicament, the enterprises have to take effective measures, become much more efficiency. As a pioneer of Chinese steel industry, Baosteel Group strengthen the enterprise management. It aims at the realization of management informatization to seek effective management. Therefore, the steel smelting information system becomes the effective tool for the Baosight Group to achieve the quality management. The implement of the system will greatly improve the produce efficiency and will play an important role in the tough marketing competition.The design and development of the process control computer system of AOD furnace Is discussed in this paper. We take the development of the2#AOD furnace from the steel works of the special iron business unit for example. To fulfill the basic requirements of steelmaking informatization, we add the process control computer system into the control of AOD furnace. The database technology is adopted to realize the overall control data acquisition from production planning to the field production.According to the features of informatization and AOD process, the principal function block of the process control computer system is designed. The database technology is adopted to realize the data acquisition from the low-level PLC, data storage treatment and the delivery of management information system through the communication platform. The application function of the portable AOD furnace process control computer system, including the data acquisition, data reduction, data storage, data delivery, forms and report design can be realized, which fully meet the requirement of steelmaking informatization.
