In this paper. Cationic guar gum (CGG) with perfect transparency was obtained by hydroxypropyl purification and then cationization modification on guar gum. The chemical structure of CGG was characterized by1R. The contrast among guar gum hydroxypropyl guar gum and Cationic guar gum was analyzed by TG and DSC. Meanwhile, Compatibility effect on Cationic guar gum. Anionic surfactant. Amphoteric surfactant and Anionic surfactant was studied. Its compatibility program was analysed according to luminousness. The main results as follows:1. Discarding protein by alkaline processDiscarding protein by alkaline process was proceed with guar gum splits as raw ma-terial and borax as Crosslinking agent. Influence on removal rate of protein and luminou-sness was disscussed by factors of reaction temperature.reaction time, dosage of NaOH. The optimum condition was confirmed by single factor experiment were as follows:the mass of splits and sodium hydroxide were25g and5g. respectively, reactiontemperature was98℃. reaction time was3h. The removal rate of protein was98.24%. the luminousn-ess was77%.2. Hydroxypropyl modified on guarHydroxypropyl modified on Guar was conducted with epoxy propane as etherifying agent. The elements effected Hydroxypropyl substitution degree and light transmittance were investigated.such as.reaction time, reaction temperature, dosage of NaOH and epox-ypropane. Best Reaction Conditions were as follows:the volume of epoxy propane was6mL, the quality of sodium hydroxide was1.6g,reaction temperature and reaction time were3h and60℃, respectively. The degree of substitution was0.2650. the luminousness was89%. The conditions were confirmed by single factor experiment and Orthogonal E-xperiment. The spectrophotometry was used to measure hydroxypropyl substitution degr-ee.3. Cationization Modification on guar gum Cationization Modification on guar gum was processed with3-chloro-2-hydroxypro-pyl three methyl ammonium chloride as etherifying agent. Alcohol solution as medium. The elements effected Cationic substitution degree and light transmittance were investigated.such as.reaction time, reaction temperature.dosage of NaOH and etherifying agent. The optimalconditions obtained by single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment were as follows:the volume of etherifying agent was8mL, reaction temperature and reaction time were3h and60℃. respectively, dosage of NaOH was1.4g.The degree of substitution (DS) of CGG was0.1701, the luminousness was97%。 Kjeldahl method was servired to survey cationic substitution degree. The chemical structure of target product was characterized by IR.The contrast among guar gum. hydroxypropyl guar gum and Cationic guar gum was analyzed by TG and DSC4. Compatibility effect among Cationic guar gum. Anionic surfactant. Amphoteric surfactant and anionic surfactant was studied with luminousness as norm.
