Mass spectrometry by analysis ionization. When ion through electric field or magnetic field. Different mass to charge ratio ions will be separated and detected, and collect by the detector. After series of dada processing, finally obtained mass spectra. Using the mass spectrum dada analysis, we can obtain the material composition, structure and other information. Mass spectrometer is composed by ion source, vacuum system, ion focusing system, mass analyzer, detector and data processing system components. Mass analyzer is the core component of the mass spectrometry, it determines mass resolution, mass range, sensitivity and other properties of the mass spectrometry.As the processing and assembling quality analyzer as well as the experimental platform, need to invest a lot of time and manpower and material resources, therefore, we use simulation to guide our experiment. Through the simulation, the mass analyzer structure parameters, voltage parameters, as well as other conditions are optimized, the theoretical simulation system research of certain parameters on the mass analyzer performance, thereby greatly reducing our study period, make the experiment more objective and pertinence.This paper through theoretical simulation of ion trap, the full text is divided into four chapters, the main contents include:Chapter1:Introduction. An overview of work principle and the development history of mass spectrometry. Pay attention to introduce the work principle of ion trap mass spectrometry, ion trap mass spectrometry as well as the type of their structure and characteristics. The content for the foundation, puts forward the research target and design of experiment.Chapter2:Introduction to mass spectrometry technology. This chapter describes the magnetic mass spectrometry. quadrupole mass filter mass spectrometry, ion trap mass spectrometry, time of flight, Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry and orbitrap mass spectrometry. also provides the six mass analyzer schematic structure, and introduced their working principle.Chapter3:partial pressure ion trap theory research. This chapter presents two kinds of ion trap----without groove in Y direction and with groove in Y direction partial pressure ion trap. By changing the voltage on the electrode distribution, we can obtain better performance than that of the rectangular ion trap. By changing the pressure of electrode voltage and excitation voltage of AC, simulation of ion motion in an ion trap, eventually get the mass resolution and ejected from the efficiency.Chapter4:Including field regulating electrode pressure ion trap and a preliminary study on new ion trap. This chapter is divided into two parts, the first part present a containing field adjusting electrode FAE partial pressure ion trap, through the introduction of FAE electrode to make partial pressure in ion trap backward from side lead-out slot exit, ion in a backward exit also obtained a higher mass resolution. The second part put forward two kind of new ion trap, one is by removing the ground electrode obtained. Another is the triangle plate electrode. The two type of ion trap is characterized by large electrode distance, can exert a pressure trap4-5times the voltage, so the mass resolution obtained very big promotion.
