Ball-screw was widely used as one of the key components of the feed system. Under axial load, the combined-surface of ball-screw internal dynamic loads and dynamic deformation were found with significant change, and obvious vibration, which affect the CNC machine tool feed system performance seriously. Therefore, further study on static and dynamic characteristics of ball-screw combined-surface ware crucial to improve the CNC machine tool feed system performance. In this paper static and dynamic characteristic parameters identification mechanical models of combination-surface were established. Furthermore the parameters identification of combined-surface and feed system dynamic characteristics of ball-screw were studied.(1) Based on Hertz Theory the contact and force of ball-screw combined-surface were analyzed, and the axial contact stiffness and axial contact deformation theory model of single&double nuts ball-screw combined-surface were attained. Then the effects of axial load and the helix angle on the axial contact stiffness and axial contact deformation of the single&double nuts ball-screw combined-surface were studied.(2) The dynamic characteristic parameters identification mechanical models of the ball-screw combined-surface were established, based on the parameters identification mechanical models, a ball-screw combined-surface dynamic parameters identification test device was designed, specifically the test bed and axial loading device were focused on design, which meet the requirements of the parameters identification, help to improve the accuracy of the parameters identification.(3) Based on the dynamic characteristics of combined-surface, by analyzing the Y direction feed system of AVCP1200H CNC machining center of using the finite element software ANSYS modal and harmonic were studied, and the impact of the ball-screw combined-surface dynamic parameters on the dynamic characteristics of the feed system were further to studied in detail.
