BDC(Bi-directional DC-DC Converter) is a two-quadrant operating DC-DC converter,through which the power can flow in either direction. As the technology of Switched PowerSupply is developing, BDC is widely applied to electric vehicle, solar cell group,uninterruptible power supply and distributed power station. It is the new form of DC-DCconverter, thus must be playing more and more important role in the area of Switched PowerSupply in the future. Since the application of BDC in certain occasions lightens the volume ofthe system and reduces the cost, It is important to analyse its technology.This paper firstly introduces the background of BDC, presents its topology in detail andchoose no-isolated Bi-directional Buck-Boost Converter as the object of research. Thenconstrue operation principle of the no-isolated Bi-directional Buck-Boost Converter.According to requirements of project, design main circuits and determinate its relatedparameters. Based on Buck small signal model, this paper carries out the system forcontrolling BDC using PI compensator, calibrates by frequency method and provides thecontrolling parameters.Finally, build the model of BDC on Saber, design the principle diagrams of main andcontrol circuits. A mass of simulations are taken, as the results show that this method iscorrect in theory and feasible for controlling.
