The slope stability haa always been a hot research topic in geotechnical engineering area, people usually use stability coefficient to evaluate the stability condition. It has always been themost important index and concept of slope stability analysis because its principle is simple andphysical meaning is clear.Nowadays in geotechnical engineering area, slope stability safety coefficient was calculatedby the numerical simulation software combines the strength reduction method. during the processof calculating slope stability, firstly, setting numerical model of construction, and then constantlyadjusting c、φ value of rock and soil mass until the numerical simulation slope reach to criticaldamage, finally, the reduced ratio of c、φ value is stability coefficient named K. Meanwhile, thesize of the calculation result could be the judgment to evaluate the stability of engineering slope.Basis on numerous relative materials, this paper write about instability soil engineeringslope at K11+100~K13+000in the highway named ganzhou to Dayu. Through analysisngengineering geology and establishing numerical simulation, the landslide stability of cutting slopewas researched firstly,. secondly put forward three slope treatment schemes, then comparedstability coefficient of the slope ratio method and retaining wall method to judge the stability andrationality of two method, the research way could guide construction practice.
