The continuously improvement of modernization and internationalization requires a higher standard of public transportation system. Transit network is the core of the public transportation system and the basis of public transport system giving play to service. So it has important and practical significance to do the transit network evaluation. In this paper, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method based on Data Envelopment Analysis was deeply researched. Through the established process, the influence of quantitative indexes disposed by Principal Component Analysis method was analysed, the deficiencies of the Max-min algorithm and the maximum membership degree were pointed out and then the improvement methods was given. Then walk distance to the transit site, transfer coefficient, line nets density, sites coverage, non-linear coefficient and so on were treated as the evaluation indexes combining with the research status of the city public transit network evaluation. On the bases of these, the city public transit network evaluation system was established. The transit network evaluation software system was developed based on Data Envelopment Analysis of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method and the concept of software engineering method. The system was used to evaluate Ganzhou city center city public transportation line network. The results show that2011Ganzhou city transit line network needs adjustment and the new bus stations should be increased. Finally, small and medium-sized city transit network optimization method and index system improvement are put forward.
