Based on the temperature difference between the objectives and background, theinfrared detection systems can detect targets around complex backgroundenvironment. In recent years, with the infrared technology development, theupdating of infrared detectors and improving of optical processing technology, infrared detection optical systems was applied quickly and widely. With the help ofthe binary optics development and the applied of binary optical elements, the opticalsystem becomes light, simple structure, and smaller size. The thesis analyses the infrared radiation character of the objectives andbackground environment, and determines the system’s work spectrum. After that, theoptical system was designed and stray light was analysed in the thesis. According tothe characteristics of the system and all other correlative conditions, the paper chosethe structure, designed the initial structure of the optical system, and applied theaspherical surface and binary surface to remove the system’s aberration andathermalized, then applied the encircled energy, spot diagram and so on to evaluatethe quality of the optical system. The results showed that the system meets thespecification requirements. In order to suppress the stray light, the paper set up the baffle and vanes in thesystem, and analysed the stray light in the compute software tracepro. The resultsshowed that, with the help of baffle, vanes and tube, the system’s stray light reachedthe requirements. The thermal radiation of the system was analyzed to choose thetemperature in the paper.
