Large-caliber anti-material rifle has important tactical purpose in future war. With a large-caliber anti-material rifle as the researching object, by theoretical analysis, prototype development and experiment studies jointly, its overall scheme was studied emphatically, and the design calculations of its interior ballistics, motion rules of the moving parts, recoil device and buffer device, muzzle brake were conducted. Its prototype development and the experiment researches were also carried out. Firstly, based on the ample investigations, the tactical and technical specifications were studied, and two overall schemes of the large-caliber anti-material rifle were proposed, in which one was semi-automatic operation, the other was manual operation. Secondly, its analytical and computational model of interior ballistics was established. Based on the above model and by programming, the in-bore pressure-time relation and the bullet velocity-time relation were obtained. The recoil-reduction measure by combining the high efficiency muzzle brake and buffer springs was proposed, and corresponding detailed design and analysis were conducted. The rifle prototype of manual operation scheme was developed and the experimental studies were performed. The researches demonstrated that the proposed scheme was feasible and the recoil-reduction measure was effective. The obtained results provide the solid foundation for its further studies and production.
