The ripper that a major work of the bulldozers is more and more widelyused in engineering, however, in the study of bulldozer ripper is still not deepenough in our country,thus, it is necessary to conduct in-depth study of theripper to meet the market demand.This article based on the subject of force analysis of structure and researchon optimization design of a certain type of bulldozer ripper, which is containstructural force analysis and optimization design of existing ripper of a certaintype bulldozer. We determine the forced structure of the bulldozer ripper on thebasis of the analysis and the calculation. Then according to the analysis to putforward the further improvement schemes in order to meet the use requirementsof harsh conditions that high density, large impact and fatigue resistance, thispaper treat the bulldozer ripper as the object of study.Firstly, the reasonable that the ripper select adjustable structure andsuspended at the rear axle housing have been verified, the uniqueness of theripper motion path has been determined, and the calculation analysis of the forceat working conditions has been done. Secondly, the ripper model has beensimplified and assembled in SolidWorks, the movement space of the ripper hasbeen verified in Motion plug, at the same time the cylinder force has beenobtained. Then finite element analysis of the ripper in three kinds of conditionswas conducted in Simulation plug, the place that Stress exceeds the allowablestress was improved and optimized, finite element analysis of the optimizedstructure has been done again in order to obtained the structure that meets stressrequirements. Finally dynamics analysis of ripper was done in ADAMS,theoretical study of impact ripper was studied in order to provide theoreticalguidance for localization of the impact ripper.
