Improving the efficiency of electricity is a worldwide concern now, how toimprove the utilization rate of electric energy is closely related to harmonicpollution. If the harmonic in the power grid is too much, that will not onlyreduces the power factor of power grid, and also the harmonic current generateddecreases the reliability of power supply. At present, there are many ways to solve harmonic pollution at home andabroad, the power factor correction technology is the most commonly used way.So at first this paper introduces the power factor correction technology, inducesthe traditional principle and classification of the power factor correction (PFC)circuit, summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of all kinds of topologystructure; Secondly summarizes the classification of soft switching topology,Introduces a kind of common power factor correction circuit, zero voltagewithout a rectifier bridge switching the Boost PFC circuit, and summarizes thethe advantages and disadvantages of all kinds of zero voltage without a rectifierbridge switching the Boost PFC circuit brought up by domestic and overseas.Atlast, this article does some thorough research about the zero voltage without arectifier bridge switching the Boost PFC circuit, the specific content includes:(1)In order to overcome the circuit switch conduction loss, complicateddriver circuit and the requirement of picking up components, proposed animproved zero-voltage none-bridge-rectifiers Boost soft switching circuit thatcould increase the power factor in the theory, analyzed the structure of thecircuit as well as the working process of this circuit in a switch cycle detailedly.(2)Giving the element parameters of the improved circuit by calculation, and used Matlab simulate four zero-voltage none-bridge-rectifiers Boost softswitching circuit at home and abroad as well as the circuit in the paper. Thesimulation results show that the improved circuit in the paper not only overcomethe shortages in others’ circuit, but also increase the power factor better.
