With the development of economy, the demand for petrochemical products is growing. On this premise, when the fire breaks out, the abilities petrochemical enterprises need are not only improve fire resistance of steel structure but also resume production as soon as possible after a fire. Currently, in our country, the research on fire-resistance of the steel focuses on the resistance, not on the repair after fire. That is, lots of researches focuse on the performance of the steel structure component or material’s change during the disaster, in contrast, changes after the fire lacks corresponding research. Our team designed a set of relatively complete fire test device. It can simulate a variety of fire heating process using liquefied petroleum gas as fuel. On the basis, we carried on later development and improvement of the test, simulated hydrocarbon fire heating process and standard fire’s. Using this equipment, we tested changes of the mechanical performance of Q235specimen cooling after hydrocarbon fire. The study improved the defect of using resistance heating which cannot accurately simulate temperature load of the fire.204pieces of specimen were used in this paper to carry out testing on the mechanical performance changes of Q235in the conditions of natural cooling after hydrocarbon fire disaster and standard fire, water spray cooling after hydrocarbon fire disaster and standard fire. The results show that different kind of fire has different influence on the mechanical performance of Q235and the way of cooling has significantly different impact on it. This study provide supporting data against the in-depth study of fire resistance of steel structure, the assessment of petrochemical enterprise after the fire and the repair of steel structure building in petrochemical enterprises.
