Werstern flower thrips, Franklinella occidentalis is an invasive aline specie found in china recently, and it is one of the most dangerous pests in4500thrips. It attack the flowers, foliage and fruits of a great number of crops, causing early flower-abscision, premature senescence and severe aesthetic damage in the form of surface scarring, stunting and plant deformatoin. In addition, it is vector of Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus in a wide variety of flowers and vegetable. Research shows that the Werstern flower thrips was attractived by some specific plant volatiles so find out specific plant volatiles is very important. In our experiment, impact of different levels of attractants on Werstern flower thrips was tested; impact of different plant on Werstern flower thrips was tested; different plant’s volatiles were collected and analysed; impact of different compound which was chose from the plant volatiles were test. The main results are as follows:Efficacy of23kinds of different compounds on the behavior of adult thrips were tested with a Y-tube olfactometer. It was found that different behavior of thrips to different compounds, even the same compound with different concentration have different impact on thrips. G (1%), J (10%) and O (10%) attractive Werstern flower thrips, its efficacy is very significantly (P<0.001). And phobotaxis of L:(0.1%,0.01%) and W (0.01%) on Werstern flower thrips were significantly.Efficacy of41kinds of different plants on the behavior of adult thrips were tested with a Y-tube olfactometer. It was found that different behavior of thrips to different plants. Mooli and jasmine flower were the best acttractive plants (p<0.001); the efficacy of african daisy (pink), lily, Daphne odora Var, petunia, geranium, rosemary, cucumber and cuke are a little lower than Mooli and the jasmine flower(0.001<p<0.01);According the result of plant volatiles, these plant volatiles mainly including benzene, esters, silane, aldehydes, ketone and Terpenes. These major categories compounds accounted for petunia (99%), geranium(69%), mooli(99%), jasmine flower (100%), cucumber(49%), cuke(100%), lily(90%) rosemary (74), daphne odora var(93%), african daisy (red)(88%), african daisy (yellow)(99%), african daisy (pink)(92%) of total volatiles. In addition to geranium and cucumber, these compounds constitute the main components of the plant volatiles. composition and proportions of plant volatiles are different if the color of the homogeneous plant are different. The new compounds which were chose according the result of plant volatiles. When the concentration was10%, there are significantly attracting action of A2, B2and H2, on thrips. When the concentration was1%, L2is the best attractant for thrips.
