Hysteromyoma, a most commonly seen benign tumors of the female genital organs, has high incidence and generally is asymptomatic. Severe cases can cause menstrual abnormalities, abdominal mass, compression symptoms, anemia, infertility, and even hysterectomy. In the treatment of modern medicine is the use of oral hormone drugs or surgery, but the two methods are not easily accepted by the majority of hysteromyoma patients. Therefore, Traditional Chinese medicine treatment of hysteromyoma has a considerable advantage.Objective:The aim of the study was to understand the modern drug laws of hysteromyoma, and the characteristics and distribution of TCM constitution and the syndrome of the patients, thus contributing to the prevention and treatment of hysteromyoma.Methods:The articles of over the past30years in CNKI were selected, who covered prescription drugs for the treatment of hysteromyoma, have the specific dose, the number of the objects had been studied in the literature was greater than or equal to20, and the efficiency of treatment was more than80%. There were a total of88articles containing94prescriptions to comply with these conditions.The drugs whose frequency was three times (including3) or more were counted, emerged from the frequency of drug, properties, a drug’s efficacy, total dose as summarized under the five internal organs, in order to contrast the modern treatment of the drug laws of hysteromyoma. From July2011to February2012,147cases of hysteromyoma patients and100healthy volunteers in Dongfang Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine were enrolled. Conducted a survey questionnaire of two groups:the survey of the sick group was included chief complaint, history of present illness, past history, general, menstruation, leucorrhea, fertility situation, Chinese syndrome questionnaire, TCM constitution Scale of Professor Wang Qi and some other; the survey projects of control group is only TCM constitution Scale of Professor Wang Qi. The data collected were established a database using Microsoft Excel, and were analyzed using the statistical software SPSS17.0.Results:(1)The diugs of treating hysteromyoma are mainly the blood circulation drugs and qi-restoratives medicines,and have relatively largr number of heat-clearing drugs and phlegm-resolving drugs.(2) There is a relation of hysteromyoma with the liver and the spleen and the kidney and the heart.(3)The drugs’nature and flavour of hysteromyoma are mainly bitter. pungent、sweet and salty.(4)The patients with hysteromyoma are susceptible to the TCM constitution of blood stasis and qi stagnation.(5) The incidence of hysteromyoma crowd, ages between35to49-year-old, cadres and staff, highly educated persons, irritability and worry dauth are more common. There is a relation of hysteromyoma with breast hyperplasia and family history.(6)The Syndromes of hysteromyoma are mainly qi stagnation and blood stasis, qi asthenia and blood stasis, and cold coagulation and blood stasis. Blood stasis is a pathological basis for the incidence of hysteromyoma.(7) The TCM constitution and syndrome of hysteromyoma are coherence and relevance.
