Brain is the core of the body. Electroencephalogram (EEG), which is produced by brain, is introduced to investigate brain in this thesis. Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a sensitive measure to study the physical condition and activities. Physiological electrical signal is altered in different positions in scalp due to the physical condition and activities, which is called EEG signal. Accordingly, the activities of brain can be investigated through the observation and analysis of EEG signals.Many algorithms have been designed and applied to study the EEG signals for more than ten years in our laboratory. There are several high-priced EEG signal processing softwares in international, but the signal communication can not be developed after processing by the softwares due to different data formats. On account of the vacancy of EEG signal processing softwares in China, various algorithms, such as the removal of the ocular artifacts, source localization and particular REST (Reference Electrode Standardization Technique) are combined to the EEG signal processing and analyzing software for its application in some domestic experimental institutions researching in EEG field. We expect that our software which has concentrated the mainstream data formats in various EEG signal processing softwares all over the world can facilitate the study of EEG signal in the future.This work is based on the software project I researched into during the postgraduate years. The function of the software is extended and perfected on the basis of original framework, including the REST function, the reading and storage of different data formats, the alternation of different data formats, the reading and matching of electrodes, reading and coordinate matching of the sections of LORETA head model, filtering function, PCA function, removal of the ocular artifacts, multi-thread function, interface design and realization of the functions. Meanwhile, in order to support the scientific research in our laboratory, practical functions of the software are developed, such as data-shearing function which can extract the useful data from the mass data and batch processing function through which the references can be transformed, supporting any reference transformation of REST. In order to prove the validity of the functions, the testing function is developed to ensure the quality of this software.
