Atrial fibrillation (AF) is one of the most common tachyarrhythmia. As the aging of population, more people are suffering from AF. AF has greatly affected the life of the patient and has brought great economic burden to our society. However, the electrophysiology mechanism of AF is still unknown. Current pharmacotherapy has unsatisfactory treating affect, while RF ablation surgery has certain risks and cannot treat the disease thoroughly. Therefore, it has great clinical meaning to work out the electrophysiology mechanism of AF.Research on electrophysiology mechanism of AF can be dated back to the beginning of last century. Electrophysiology mapping technology has helped the development of the theory. As one of the most important cardiac electrophysiology research method, epicardial mapping is conducive to explain the happening, maintaining and disappearing of complicated arrhythmia. The multichannel display method is used to be the most common method, but since the increasing of the number of electrodes, it cannot fulfill the display demand. The research object of this dissertation is to design a three-dimensional display method for epicardial mapping, so that the electric potential data can be shown faster and more vividly. The ultimate aim is to help the research of AF.This dissertation designs a three-dimensional display software. Firstly, build up the three-dimensional cardiac model based on computed tomography (CT) data. Secondly, interpolate the potential data collected from an epicardial mapping system into the3D model by using Kriging interpolation algorithm. Thirdly, display the cardiac model and its potential activity on the platform of OpenGL. Several groups of animal experiment data was applied to verify the displaying function of our software. The3D dynamic isopotential map, isochronograph and dominant frequency peak graph can be presented in our software. This dissertation has found out that the three-dimensional display method can directly show the abnormal propagation process of depolarization in complicated arrhythmia, such as AF. Epicardial mapping can help us to find out the exact reentry of AF and provides technical support for RF ablation surgery.
