Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safetyof cirrhotic ascites by Integrative treatment, and rough statistics the commonly used method and drugs by Chinese medicine treatment for this disease. Methods:Computer retrieval the China Academic Journal (CNKI), Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM), Chinese Technical Periodicals Database (VIP), PubMed and Wanfang Data by key words of "cirrhotic ascites"or"bulging" or "dropsy"and "Chinese" or "Chinese medicine" or "Integrative Medicine".To retrieval those study which have published in the past20years (1994-2013), about cirrhotic ascites by integrative medicine treatment. Set the literature standard to inclusion or exclusion. Set literature inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria.Select those study which are prospective study and contain randomized controlled trial (RCT), and have an criteria the basic unity of diagnostic criteria and therapeutic evaluation to minimize clinical heterogeneity. Jadad scale score standard to evaluate the literature, selected literature Jadad score must be greater than or equal to2points. Adopt RevMan5.2software for Meta-analysis. The analysis included the calculation of standardized mean differenee(SMD) for measurement data and odds ratio(OR) for enumeration data.Results:396literatures about cirrhotic ascites by Integrative treatment were found. According to the literature inclusion and exclusion criteria, excluding the NRCT research N Jadad score less than2points and incomplete data study, Then only12literatures meet all the requirements to be included in the meta anaiysis. The Integrative Medicine group include613cases and the simple western treatment group compose with540cases. There is no statistically significant difference in the baseline data of various studies. The results of combination traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine treatment showed as follows:a. The efficacy rate in treatment group(88.09%) is higher than that in control group(62.77%), OR=4.86,95%CI (3.54—6.66), P<0.05.b. On dropping of ALT, the intreatment group is grater than that in control group: WMD=-10.95,95%Cl(-17.13—-4.76), P<0.05c. On dropping of TBIL, the intreatment group is grater than that in control group: WMD=-10.19,95%CI(-19.36—-1.02), P<0.05.d. On elevating ALB, the intreatment group is grater than that in control group: WMD=4.56,95%CI(2.42-6.71), P<0.05.Conelusion:The literature analysis shows the Integrative treatment options have certain advantages in the treatment of ascites due to cirrhosis, but the quality of the research literature less, suggesting that future research methodology to be further improved.
