Maurice Ravel,a French composer with Switzerland and Basque lineages.Hewas the most original early and precision of the musicians in the late 19th- century,early 20th-century.His work sorts are various,such as piano works, and chambermusic, vocal works and orchestra, etc. Many of these works were later musician usedas a concert repertoire of reserves.Ravel’s music is innovative, though he did not follow the contemporary trendtowards atonality and his music tonal clear. His works are full of rich colors of exoticand new classical music style and so on.As his works are numerous, and style eachdifferent. Not enough words of the simple generalization, but they are unique asRavel’s music style characteristics.Ravel’s’G major piano concerto’was a famous work of the late of Ravel’s musiccreation. This concerto was composed between 1929 and 1931. The concerto is inthree movements, and is heavily influenced by jazz, which Ravel had encountered ona concert tour of the USA.This paper focuses on Ravel’s‘G major piano concerto’,and analysis these threemovements’s music ontology as comprehensive as possible.Such as musical form,characteristics of harmony, and the band establishment, etc.Get thought thecomprehensive analysis of this concerto,for further study the music style it contains.The concerto was the condensed creation after Ravel travle many nations,and had therich music features. Both Spain and Basque folk customs, and American jazz musiccharacteristics that can also feel the folk music Russian style.Various of style mixtogether that has distinct characteristics.Meanwhile, endowed the composingcharacteristics of Ravel’s late creation.The author analysises of the concerto,at the same time combining with actualplaying experience to expound the concerto’s playing skills,handle of pedals,and soon. Through the more detailed analysis,the author hopes provide certain reference forthe future.
