The irony is a kind of language and it is very powerful speechact, is a typical pragmatic problem. One of the four famous works--" A Dream of Red Mansions"is a valuable work and for linguistics it also has very high research value. To analyze every kindlanguage of this book from the perspective of pragmatics will be a great harvest.
