Li Shangyin Metaphor Study Of Poetry

Tang poetry is China’s outstanding literary heritage, and also one of the world literatures inthe treasure house of a bright pearl. Although they are far from us for over one thousand years,many of them are widely circulated by us. Li Shang yin in late Tang dynasty is the outstandingpoet and his poems represent the highest achievement in the ancient poem, which play animportant role in the course of development of Ancient poetry. Throughout these poems, we canfind that, in his work, metaphor plays a very important role. We can say, metaphor is a necessarypart of his poetry among many kinds of creation ways. He often uses metaphor in his work tomake his own inner feelings visual, which is also to make abstract concept specific and makepoetry becomes clear so that we are deep into the poetry of the inner structure through theappearance of external and finally make us understand him.In this paper, the main content is that we analyze and summary the poems of Li Shang yinin the theory of cognitive linguistics. The purpose of the study of Li Shang yin’s poems from thecognitive and cultural perspective:1、Using cognitive metaphor theory analyzes to refine Li Shang yin’s poems conceptualmetaphor can provide new theory perspective for scholars to study on ancient Chinese poetryand at the same time can help us better understand and appreciate classical poetry.2、Through the cultural perspective of Li Shang yin’s poem, it is good for us to deepen ourunderstanding of the metaphor of poetry and understand the relations between metaphor thinkingand the language. At the same time, we will be better understand how people will project thefamiliar and specific area to other unfamiliar and abstract areas and deepen the understanding ofmetaphor and theoretical study of the metaphor, so that we can understand the metaphor is howto organize human concept system and guide human experience of cognition.The main objective is to analyze the original domain and target domain among Li Shangyin’s poems and the projection of the model between them, and sum up the characteristics andthe reason, for providing a reasonable metaphor the meaning interpretation paradigm. Throughthe analysis, we get the following conclusion:(1) The main attribute domain in the poetry of Li Shang yin’s poems: character class, thebuilding of the candle, palace of plant, animal figurines, class, cloud-rain type, and so on.(2) Metaphor recreation of the clear metaphor involved in the process of the two conceptsdomain: attribute domain and target the interactivity between domain, the interactive rooted inthe similarity, namely the physical similarity and psychological similarity.(3) The poetry of Li Shang yin’s poems main structure metaphor, and entity metaphor and spatial metaphors.(4)In the poetry of Li Shang yin’s poems，there are two semantic structures and the secondone is mainly.(5) the direction of the mapping from the original metaphor domain to target the domainone-way mapping, but the poems of Li Shang yin many metaphor is this one-way mapping canaccount for, in order to make up the defect of this theory, put forward the concept of theintegration theory, for we the cognitive interpretation of Li Shang yin and poetry metaphoricalcharacteristics, to provide a theoretical guidance. We use the theory, and combined with conceptnetwork integration is the characteristics of Li Shang yin and poetry that metaphor: first of all,the analogized body beautiful and sad; Second, they are hazy and righteousness; Finally，they arecreative and unique.(6) The characteristics of the poetry of Li Shang yin’s poems caused by cultural factorsrestriction: system culture and psychology culture.
