Maurice Maeterlinck is the Nobel Price winner in1911. His dramatic creation,especially for his early works, bare a revolutionary significance in the history ofwestern modern drama. Besides, his unique thoughts in creating drama influences lotsof modernistic dramatists. In this thesis, the author tries to make analysis ofMaeterlinck’s early works, which includes6texts. And by illustrating the aestheticvalue and narrative strategies in these works, the author hopes to grasp thephilosophic connotation and formal significance of Maeterlinck’s early works. |
