Coming to the20th century, one of distinctive features of the world artistical trends was the trend of restoration, which looked back old things and watched the nature. Modern Chinese traditional arts also focused a greater amount of attention than before while a lot of gazes had been focused from the West to the Orient. From the global artistic trends, I would like to take an extensive view in the future after understanding the modern value by knowing how Chinese’s and Korean’s life and feelings have an effect on the paintings and bring about changes about the paintings depending on the environment and society fastening on new year paintings (Nian wha), one of results which reflect Chinese customs, desires, spirits and lives compositively, and Korean folk paintings (Min Hwa). Also comparing Korean folk paintings (Min Hwa) with Chinese new year paintings (Nian wha) similar to Korean folk paintings, I would like to study on the aspects communicating with the public becoming more globalized through the works by knowing how modern Chinese and Korean painters succeed to their painting forms, which each country’s traditional sentiment is expressed uniquely, and meet the demands of the times becoming globalized at the same time and capturing such things on canvas. I would also like to study on what Korean painters are greatly influenced by, and what kinds of effects it is expected to have and what part they borrow and use in their paintings.I would like to compare and analyze the difference between Korean paintings developing into real Korean paintings with its own originality from oriental ones and Chinese paintings meeting the demands of modernization and globalization and keeping their identity.
