The comparative study of shame between Japanese and Chinese is an important partof the one of emotional expression. The study involves several fields, such as semanticsand cognitive linguistics.Nowadays, there are not many studies on emotionalexpression,while achievements definitely on shame expression are rather fewer.Based on the conclusion and study of former study results, the paper looks up andanalyses the vocabulary of shame expression in Japanese and Chinese one by one, andfrom the perspective of cognitive metaphor,the paper parses the differences andidentities of shame expression between Japanese and Chinese, which are thenexpounded in the perspective of history culture. The paper sufficiently uses charts andother practical analyses as the methods of demonstration, and tries to explore thegeneral law of the process of shame expression in the two languages. Through thestudy,we can understand the express feature of Japanese and Chinese morecomprehensively and deeply, which,in future,will conduct the language teaching andcross-cultural communication all the better.
