Nanjing Dialect Vocabulary

Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu Province. Its geographical position is very important. Nanjing dialect belongs to the Jianghuai Mandarin. From now we have many results on Nanjing dialect, but we should research deeply about the summary and results on Nanjing dialect. This article take the Nanjing dialect as the research object.We obtain a part of spoken corpus using the method of field investigation which was used in the previous word investigation. At the same time,We collect Nanjing dialect which was used in some modern films and television works.We are trying to use a deductive approach to descript the Nanjing dialect vocabulary is more important than before. We hope some research methods about suvring the words of Nanjing dialect can be explored through combining the comparison of two methods.The whole thesis cotains five chapters:Chapterl:Preface. It introduces the location, population, the pattern, the phonetic symbols of Nanjing dialect and the articulators and so on.Chapter2:" Jiangsu province and the city of Shanghai dialect, Nanjing dialect" profiles" Zhi"," Nanjing Dialect Dictionary" in three with the Nanjing dialect vocabulary comparison analysis". Mainly arranged and analyzed the research achievements of predecessors. We compared the vocabulary of Nanjing dialect in the three books.At the same time we analysed same questions found in the arrangment.Chapter3:The corpus of Nanjing dialect from four kinds of spoken corpus. In this chapter we mainly introduce the papers involved in audio corpus, analyse and descript the corpus.Chapter4:The comparison between the items of four kinds of spoken corpus and the items of three books. We compared the wrds from the spoken corpus and predecessors’ works in Nanjing dialect and analyzed similarities and differences of the two kinds of meterials.Chapter5:A field survey about the Nanjing dialect words. We will get some differences statement from the comparative analysis between the first chapters. For the differences.we made a field investigation in order to supplementing and veifing the statement of our predecessors. We want to add the field investigation about some words.
