Peng Zhaosun Poetry Study

This thesis is composed of five chapters, by which Peng Zhaosun’s family background, all his life, his communication with friends, and his poetry were gradually explored. Comprehensive research of Peng Zhaosun and his poems was launched by these analysis.Chapter one focused on his life experiences and family background, all of which expressed a preliminary exploration of Peng Zhaosun.On the basis of the original Chronicle, combined with the thoughts and the feelings that expressed by his poetry and his notes, the second chapter aimed to restore his life sorrow and psychological characteristics delicately that expressed by every stage of his life, through which to explore his true spiritual journey. Meanwhile, combined with his common interest with his friends, this chapter also focused on analysis of its impact on both Peng and his friends.The third chapter tried to probe his poetic thought. On the basis of his poetry poetics background, conclude from his scattered poems and notes work, his unique poetry thought that was not confined by the contemporary was detected.Chapter four conducts studies on his poem content. From a wide range of traveling among mountains and rivers, traveling and customs, descriptions of history to detect his thought content and unique characteristic embedded in his poem works.Chapter five aimed to study the art feature of his poem. Oriented from his freely existed mode and learned from a wide range of others, he developed to a kind of wide embracing and multifarious style expressing poem art. This chapter focused on his unique poetry feature so as to seize a better understanding of his poem’s style.
