The folk songs had been existed from so long. They had been taken seriously by Ming Dynasty. Many people read them. And the folk songs were not isolated. They had a close contract with Qu. So the studying of them is important.I have chosen Cassia Twig and Shan-ge as the beginning of my study. I have done a comprehensive study about it. This thesis consists of three parts.In Chapter1, I have interprets the meaning of the folk songs, its development in Ming Dynasty. I also studied Feng Menglong’s theories of about the folk songs in his "Cassia Twig" and "Shan-ge".In Chapter2, I have interpreted the development of the folk songs and Qu. And the promotion of the folk songs to Qu have been attended. The folk songs have been compared with Qu in all aspects. For example, Tune, Form, Connotation, Theme and Language style. I also analyses some writers.In Chapter3, I have studied the folk songs from the relationship of elegant literature and popular literature. I have also studied them in the trends of the literary innovation in the late Ming Dynasty. I studied the writers’theories of popular literature and Qu. I also studied their mimic folk songs like "Cassia Twig" and "Suo-nan-zhi". I studied their differences between the folk songs and Qu. And I analyses the reasons of it from economic, community and thinking. I also analyses the affect of this differences.
