Based on the summary of "i-chi"(untrammeled spirit) meaning, importance, development and transformation, from the "I-chou ming tua lu" analyse the "i-ko"(untrammeled class) of the Song dynasty literati flower-and-bird painting, speculating literati flower-and-bird painting of Song Dynasty on surfacing modality.To proof what did huang hsiu-fu said "i-ko"(untrammeled class).Thesis statement is painting of aesthetic style included painting simpleness and specific shape, advocating ink,calligraphy and poetry how to exert the paintings. These main factor constitute aesthetic style "i-ko"(untrammeled class) on literati flower-and-bird painting of Song Dynasty."i-ko"(untrammeled class) become a key idea of freehand brushwork flowers and birds painting."i-ko"(untrammeled class) become literati painters of the highest aesthetic pursuit, to push the development of freehand brushwork in traditional Chinese painting, step by step to the flower-and-bird painting to the summit, influence on the later generation development of painting is very profound.
