The Piano Music Symphony Model

The piano suite "Pictures at an Exhibition" composed by Mussorgsky is amasterpiece of well-known piano works, its symphonic style also has a large numberof well-known adapted version. The adapted version has the symphony version, thestring version, the wind ensemble and the original piano version. There are manyfamous musicians adapted and played this work, such as Ravel, Stowkovski. Throughthe author look up, many literatures studied the questions which is in the playing skillincluded pitch, fingering etc. However, these literatures concentrated in the aspect ofpure playing skill, neglected the goal which the skill served the music. This papercollected the literatures at home and abroad, through the carful analysis and summary.Hope to restore the work to its origin, and to provide some advices for the pianoplaying.
