| Along with the great popularity of televisions, relying on theconvenience of broadcasting and loads of audiences，Chinese TV dramashave become one of the most influential entertainment forms. Meanwhile,the increasing attentions have been paid by people. Makeups are both theessential part of frame aesthetics and the main element of the aestheticsvalue in films work. This essay starts with makeups in TV dramas andthen summarizes the function and advance of makeups. After long mixingwith other kinds of makeups, the TV drama one gradually shows adiversity of aesthetic traits. On the basis of different types of TV dramas,taking some work as instances, this essay mainly analyze the aesthetictraits in terms of authenticities, expression and symbolization. Throughsurveys found out the relationship between design and subjects, exploredthe interaction between makeups and prevalence.
