Franchising is a business model which imported from abroad, and ithas its own unique business advantage. It is highly respected andwelcomed by domestic and international business. With the developmentand rapid growth of franchising in China, various problems havegradually appeared. Restricting competition problems are very prominent,which includes area restrictions, fixed-price, tying and prohibition ofbusiness strife. The article first introduces a franchise restrictingcompetition case. By analyzing the franchise restricting competition inthe case, the author intends to lead to this problem that restrictingcompetition has restrictive impact on the market and the laws andregulations of franchise need to be improved. Then, the article analyzesthe forms, causes, rationality of restricting competition and how doesrestricting competition affect market. According to restrict competition onthe above analysis, both illegal side of rationality, the key is to distinguishbetween illegal and reasonable standard In the end, the author gives someadvices on how to perfect the laws and regulations of restrictingcompetition.
