The relevant market definition is the anti-monopoly law’s first steps, and evendecides the result of many cases litigation. This article, describes the relevant marketdefinition from four parts: Firstly is how to define the relevant market definition fromthe general overview, and tease its definition its classification and its status reviews.Secondly, we introduce the international mainstream and pretty new method about thecurrent relevant market definition, and analyses the advantages and disadvantages ofthese methods in detail. Thirdly, in order to get a certain revelation to our country, weanalyze United States and the European Union’s relevant market definition from theAngle of legislation and practice and at the same time we use the framework about thetheory of industrial organization and take the history of the economic theory as a clue.Finally, we investigate China’s relevant market definition from two aspects namely thelegislation and the practice, and rethink the relevant market definition of our countryprofoundly and then put forward some more perfect advices of the relevant marketdefinition to our country.
