Zhou Enlai is a great Marxist, great proletariat revolutionist, statesman, militarystrategist and diplomat.He is one of the main leaders of the party and the country andone of the main founders of the Chinese people’s Liberation Army.He has taken part inthe establishment of the people’s Republic of China,and he was one of the importantmembers ofthe party’s first generation of central leader collective with Comrade MaoZedong as the core. During the period of new democratic revolution, Zhou Enlaiestablished immortal meritorious service for establishing the people’s army for ourparty, creating the revolutionary united front,and creating the new China which thepeople are master. He has formed a lot of important thoughts,especially about thedevelopment of the Armed Struggling thinking which is regarded as one of "the threemagic weapons",and he personally carried out many armed struggling practices.In the party’s early time,Zhou Enlai put forward clearly to execute violentrevolution to save China.In the early period of the great revolution, he was the directorof Political Department of Whampoa military academy.He accumulated experienceabout the armed struggling in the East Expeditionand the Three Armed UprisingsLaunched by Shanghai Workers. The failure of the great revolution has strengthen thedetermination of Zhou Enlai to execute the armed struggle.Then he led the NanchangUprising, started the new period of armed struggle against the Kuomintang,and he isregarded as one of the founders of China’s people’s Liberation Army.During theAgrarian Revolutionary War, Zhou Enlai pay attention to rural revolutionary baseconstruction,and gradually formed the thought of "First we should have Rural Red Army,then we can have the city government".His armed struggling thoughts rose up to a newstage.During the period of Anti-Japanese War and the liberation war,Zhou Enlai putforward the strategic and tactical principles of long-lasting war, paying attention toguerrilla warfare,contending for the ground and concentrating a superior force todestroy the enemy.In the armed struggling practice,Zhou Enlai paid attention to the combination of the armed struggle and the United Front,and the combination of armedstruggle and the agrarian revolution. His armed struggling thinking shew a distinctfeature,and was fully demonstrated.
