As a new trade, international freight forwarder has been developingafter China’s reform and opening up. The freight forwarder was just anagency at the beginning. The emergence of liner shipping extends thebusiness scope of international freight forwarder into the field ofNVOCC. The transformation of the status will surely change itsrights,obligations and responsibilities.While it mades indubitable progress, there is still no special lawup to now. So the prohlems are also inevasible. The whole paper justdivided into three parts, aming to discuss some common problems inpractice.Chapter1states the property and role of international freightforwarder. The most important part in this chapter is the analysis ofthe legal status of the international freight forwarder and intraditional meaning and of NVOCC in China. Reconsignment and dualrepresentation are two phenomena that exist in the operation of theinternational freight forwarder. With cases,Chatper2mainly analysizes the responsibility of the international freight forwarder in these twoaspects. Chapter3states the cost of the international freightforwarder that more prone to disputes. Through the analysis of industrypractices and views in justice practice,we found that on such issuesshould respect the industry practices and uniform judicial standards. |
