The Study On The Cooperative Relationship Between The Government And Environmetal NGO

The environmental NGO first appeared in North America and theWestern Europe at the time of1960s, it began to spread world wide since1990s. The number of environmental NGO has been presenting a rapidlyrising trend as the environmental problems in Asian countries gettingworsen. In1994, china has its first environmental NGO—Friends ofNature, until2005, the amount of environmental NGOs has reach toaround2500domestically, therefore, Folk Environmental Groups havebegan to take shape. However, as the cooperation between governmentand environmental NGO has been going deeply, many problems anddivergences were highlighted; esp. the contradiction between ideologyand division of power cannot be solved well all along. Therefore, basedon the familiarity with related industry, the author taking the SWRF (Shanghai Water Resources protection Foundation), China’s first publicfund themed in water as a example, explored some problems occurred inthe cooperation between the government and environmental NGO, andproposed the suggestions and methods on author’s own, then get theactual cooperation between the government and environmental NGO outof the trouble by absorbing the advanced experience from foreignnon-governmental organizations.
