The capitalist mode of production is commodity production; its supreme objective is to seek profit. Along with the periodic economic crisis, it also causes ecological crisis. Due to the greed for profits, capitalist has tried to expand the scale of production, on the one hand, they use natural resources at an amazing rate, on the another hand, there is reckless exploitation. As the production scale unceasingly expands, the average profit margin decline, in order to guarantee the capitalists’profit, they use technology to dig natural resources for maximum utilization. At the same time, based on the principle of capital, the untreated waste is discarded, and this leads to environmental pollution. Day by day, the mode generates ecological crisis. It is profit which is the center of the capitalist mode of production causes ecological crisis, and alienated labor (namely capitalist production process) is the most direct reason to ecological crisis, natural alienation and labor alienation is the premise of private ownership. In order to obtain more profits, the production scale expands unceasingly, even expands to the world. In order to make the production process complete, the product must be purchased, and therefore it has stimulated manufacturing to meet the demands of the people, then it comes to be values of people, makes people think the meaning of existence lies in the possession of goods, namely commodity fetishism. People’s consumption demand is gradually expanding, therefore promotes the capitalism of the new round of mass production. Profit as center of capitalist production mode makes the worsening ecological environment and the moment of crisis.Nowadays, the natural resource is less and less, and environment pollution is more and more serious, this has been threatening to human survival and development. This paper tries to make people aware the real reason of ecological crisis, so we can find the remedy to the case, namely do some change to the mode of production and walk out of it.
