Qu Qiubai was one of the main leaders in early days of Communist Party of China, a great Marxist, a brilliant proletariat revolutionist, a theorist and propagandist. He is one of the founders of revolutionary literature in China. He received a systematic and advocacy study of Marxism in early time. He gave actively promote to the Party’s theoretical and political mobilization, vigorously promoted the practice of ideological and political education, made a great contribution for our party and revolutionary work.The fine tradition of the Chinese Communist Party and political advantages attach importance to ideological and political education and its effect. Since the reform and opening up practice, ideological and political education is facing many new situations and new problems, because the socialist modernization and deep development of China. We need experience summed up from China’s socialist modernization and the development process of ideological and political education of Communist Party of China. The object of this paper is ideological and political education theory and practice of Qu Qiubai.The guidance of this paper is dialectical materialism and historical materialism. It is based on the historical background of China’s democratic revolution. This paper wholly and systematically explodes the theory origin, main content, distinctive characteristics, and with the new situation of China, the paper discusses the contemporary value of ideological and political education of Qu Qiubai to provide useful lessons to contemporary China’s ideological and political education. All are based on the large number of documents. The method of this paper is to combine analysis and synthesis. The principle of this paper is integrating theory with practice.Paper is divided into four chapters apart from the introduction. The first chapter discusses the original theory of ideological and political education of Qu. The formation of its theory of ideological and political education has a direct source from Marx, Engels and Lenin’s theory of ideological and political education. In addition, the childhood of Qu was influenced by Chinese traditional culture; traditional Chinese culture is an important theory of his source of this idea. The second chapter describes the main contents of his ideological and political education. He actively promoted the basic theory of Marxism-Leninism, he went against the anti-communist propaganda of warlord and Kuomintang. Then, he actively carried out the work of the school’s moral practice. The third chapter analyzes the distinctive features of his ideological and political education, which is outstanding service functions for the class, targeting different groups about education. The forth chapter discusses the contemporary value of ideological and political education. This paper is based on the analysis of theory and practice of ideological and political education and argues that the ideological and political education should start keeping characteristics of the times, focusing on theory and practice, concerning the differences between different groups, moving toward the "life world" development in life penetration.Qu’s ideological and political education theory and practice is profound. Systematic study of the theory and practice will help us understand Qu’s whole thoughts, and also helps us learn a lot from the historical experience for useful reality experience.
