The Positive Appeals Of CPC And KMT In Propelling Cross-straits Relations Forward Since The New Century

The positive appeals of CPC and KMT propelling relations across the Taiwan Straitforward since the new century in this thesis means in21stcentury, both the Communist partyof China (CPC) and the Kuomintang (KMT) have made a gallant effort to improve therelationship between Taiwan and China Mainland. The positive appeals here refer to positivestatements, positive requests, positive demands, and positive claims. Entering into the newcentury, on account of a good many of factors, such as western countries’ interference,Democratic Progressive Party’s Taiwan independence movements, the Taiwan Strait wascovered with dark clouds. In order to improve the relationship across the Taiwan Strait, BothCPC and KMT made a vast amount of positive appeals around the theme of peace anddevelopment, and acquired great achievements.This paper, focusing on the positive appeals between CPC and KMT, discussed thesituation of Taiwan Strait, described the positive appeals between CPC and KMT in greatdetail, summarized the fruitful achievements, analyzed the new Challenge of future, andfinally, put forward some suggestions and proposals to CPC for reference.The thesis is composed of four parts.The first part introduced the situation and change of Taiwan Strait in new century fromfour aspects. They are international factors, Democratic Progressive Party, China Mainlandand KMT. This part is the significance of the positive appeals.The second part analyzed the main contents and features of the positive appeals of CPCand KMT respectively, and gave some comments accordingly. This part is the contents andprocesses of the positive appeals.The third part summarized the fruitful achievements of positive appeals. They arestronger political mutual trust, the multivariate ways of negotiation, further cooperation andexchanges of economic and culture, and frequent personnel exchanges. This part is thepractical result of the positive appeals.The forth part is mainly about the new challenge and our countermeasures. Peace anddevelopment across the Taiwan Straits is still full of variability. Therefore, Work relatedTaiwan affairs should be intensified continuously. The author also put forward some effectivesuggestions and proposals to tighten and improve our Taiwan policy. This part is about theuncovered section of the positive appeals and our countermeasures.
