The rapid development of Internet technology and its industry has aprofound impact on the people’s production and life styles.People began tohave a new life experience and people’s living space is expanded.Thecharacteristics of the Internet, includes information digitization, virtual andopen space, hidden identity, freedom of communication.In the Internet,infringeing on privacy can be more convenient, more comprehensive,and moreserious. Therefore,to protect network privacy comprehensively has become avery important part of the research topic.It is not only related to the protectionof the privacy of individual citizens, but also related to the country’s political,economic and cultural development.Based on the specific analysis of two main protection modes from theUnited States and the European Union, this article provides therecommendations to improve network privacy of our country. The theoreticalexplanation and comparative analysis in this article are from the perspective ofnetwork privacy backgrounds, definitions, features, contents and the issues ofthe infringement.The main purpose of this paper is to make recommendations on improvingthe protection of the privacy of our network.This paper is divided into fourchapters.The first chapter discusses the proposal of the concept and itsdefinition of internet privacy. The development of the network privacy and theimpact of the Internet on traditional privacy are introduced firstly to make out the background of traditional privacy. Then the definition of network privacyand the features and contents which is different from traditional privacy iselaborated to describe the necessity and particularity of the protection ofNetwork Privacy.The second chapter discusses the basic problems of theinfringement of Network Privacy. The subjects and the main characteristics ofthe infringement of Network Privacy are firstly described. in order to illustratethat the traditional methods of privacy’s protection is no longer adapted to theneeds of the network’s privacy protection, The main types of the infringementof Network Privacy are analyzed in accordance with three differentclassification standards of the motivation, content,and methods.. The thirdchapter introduces and analyzes the two main foreign protection modes, theindustry self-protection based U.S. mode and legal regulation based EU mode,and provides the experience and reference to protection mode selection. Thefourth Chapter is about of recommendations of our network privacy protection.It firstly analyzes the current situation and the main problems of our networkprivacy protection., countermeasures and suggestions are put forward fromthree aspects of protected mode selection, perfection of the legislativeprotection and industry self-improvement.We can not simply copying foreign experience to protect our NetworkPrivacy.We have to use legal regulation, industry self-regulation, governmentguidance and supervision, on the basis of the combination of conditions, andas well as by the support of network moral construction and Internettechnology to achieve tangible results.
