Research of the patent pledge system ofenterprises is of great significance for the improvement of patent pledgesystem, the enhancement of the capacity to run and manage patent ofinnovation subjects, the improvement of efficiency of patent pledgesystem and the promotion of economic development. According to thepatent pledge registration information (2008-2010) released by SIPO，bythe theoretical and empirical research of the patent pledge system, thisdissertation concludes as follows.First of all, pledgee need to take the higher transaction costs andthe risks of uncertainty, which makes them often choose commercialloans with stability gains and controlling cost, such as tangible property.Corporate patent pledge may result in incomplete market, even when theyface up to the patent assets and security benefits of high quality. Marketfailure means that the market can not efficiently allocate resources, which provides a basis for direct intervention of government.Secondly, analyzed the pledger type，pledger region，pledgee type，and pledge model of enterprises， it comes to the conclusion thatenterprises solely as pledger is the main type and in most occasions, suchpledger is also patent applicant or patent transferee; regional differencebetween pledgers is significant; guarantee corporation， joint stockcommercial banks and city commercial banks are the main type ofpledgee; direct pledge model develop in coexistence with indirect pledgemodel.Thirdly, analyzed the patent type，technical field，number ofclaims，and number of inventor of enterprises，it comes to the conclusionthat invent and utility model have a similar number and they all morethan the number of design; the number of transport operation category isthe largest and the number of chemical metallurgy category take secondplace in the total number of pledged invent and utility model; the numberof category of game, toy, tent and sporting goods, other household itemsnot included in the class, and lighting equipment and other machinery not included in the class occupy the majority of all pledged design; stabilityof legal status of pledged patent guarantee the realization of collateralvalue; most of the number of claims of pledged patent concentrates on therange of1to10; number of inventor of1of pledged patent is at most.
