In concluding the existing theories, studying and researching, the author finally got the answer that the internet virtual property can be considered as legal property which should be protected by civil law. The second part describes the general characters and unique characters of the internet virtual property, analyzes its legal nature as well as introduces the four popular thoughts on the legal natures-property right, contractual right, intellectual right and new kind of property right. The author makes a thorough discussion and comparison the various ways of protection respectively. Then the thesis focuses on the analysis of the status of legal regulation of internet virtual property in China and induces the practices of other countries and regions. Finally, the author put forward to some suggestions, as to the comprehensive legal protection of internet virtual property in combing the different kinds of protection of property right, contractual right, and tort right, and gives the thoughts and suggestions about the legal protection of internet virtual property.
