Since February25,2003, Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuanmet with U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell about the Taiwan issue isrelated to China’s core interests and properly handle this issue is key toensure the stable development of Sino-US relations ", China’s coreinterests this time, began to frequent the emergence of Chinesediplomatic incident, and gradually attracted the attention of variouscircles in the United States on this issue.Core interests related to the survival and development of thesovereign state as a part of where the most fundamental national interests,is the fundamental starting point for countries in formulating foreignpolicy. The booming Chinese faces from Conservative constraints of thegreat United States, and many other aspects, has been ongoing tensionsbetween the two countries, which will not be conducive to themaintenance of China’s core interests and national development. Therefore, this article attempts to summarize and analyze the question ofhow the United States views China’s core interests, explore the perpetualconflict because the two countries, try to put forward China’s coreinterests maintenance pathways.In addition to the introduction, this paper is divided into four parts.The first part, presented with background of China’s core interests.Analytic concept of interests, national interests, core interests, clear theimportance of the core interests and particularity. The time the cluespresented background on China’s core interests and changes to make thesystem summarized.The second part, how the United States views China ’s coreinterests. Make this part of the U.S. officials, the media and academia onthe formulation of China’s core interests and summarized. To analyze thesimilarities and differences between the three of China ’s core interests,attitudes, and this objective presentation of the multiplicity of AmericanVision community for China’s core interests.The third part,concern of the United States to treat China’s core interests. Analysis of U.S. concerns China’s core interests, nationalinterests of the United States showing the differences with China ’s coreinterests and the Fusion.The fourth part, how to maintain core interests. Analysis of thefundamental differences between the United States and China diplomacylies in the nature of the opposition of the political system, the Sino-USstructural contradictions can not be reconciled. China, as a developingsocialist country, along with the deepening of the process of reform andopening up in recent years, the economic and social development hasentered a critical stage.Clearly defined core interests ofChina,Conducive to clear the bottom line of China’s diplomatic and othercountries to reduce the possibility of conflict among countries, isconducive to the realization of the development strategy of the StatePeace. The core interests put forward by scholars at home and abroad,and was the " China threat theory " have great doubts that is amanifestation of China dominate ambitions. Access to other countries inthe process of safeguarding China ’s core interests, China’s core interests benign understanding is very important, therefore, China should takemore active measures.
