This paperanalyzes essence of companies from three aspects, which are the meaning of the wordof the company, the origins and development of the company, and the doctrine ofessence of companies, for looking for ways to understand essence of companies.Through these analysis, I believe that we can grasp essence of companies on the basisof the dynamic process.Studying on essence of companies should first understand the meaning of theword of the company, which is the meaning in law. Researcher of essence ofcompanies who are users without knowing proposed doctrine which do not define themeaning of the word of the company, so I think this is a clarified important issue.This paper discusses the meaning of the company in Chinese and English. Thecompany’s meaning in Chinese and English is not the same level, which is changingwith the changing times. Only a clear understanding of the origins and developmentof the company, we can understand foundation in reality of the company. Formationprocess of the company is an evolving process, which stress group personality tolarge companies involving all aspects of life. All show that the development of thecompany also has been in the midst of change. If we have systematic grasp and aclear understanding of the academic research of essence of companies, we can makemulti-level analysis essence of company. Throughout the ages, there are many ideasabout essence of companies, which are mutual criticism debate, and even mutualnegation. But the result of the close fight is not littered with corpses, nothing to stay.Although various theories mutually are critical, essence of companies develops atdepth.
